Adopter is the digital marketing company for the adoption of emerging green technologies

Our clients range from startups to scaling businesses, incubators, and international organisations inventing green technologies and forging new green tech markets. We help them frame their messaging and grow their online presence to reach the customers, investors and employees they need to scale.

We believe that if green technologies are adopted, they can help save the world from climate change and ecosystem collapse. Adopter was founded to ensure this happens in time.

We strive to centre ethics and sustainability in our growth and development by reducing our environmental impact where possible.

Working with real climate change solutions

More than 'just' a marketing company.

We see Adopter as the go-to partner for visionaries and innovators with breakthrough green technologies.

But we are also more than that. In addition to supporting you on your scaling journey, we are determined to participate in developing and sharing groundbreaking solutions.

Alongside organisations like The Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance, IUCN, and The Royal Foundation/Earthshot Prize, Adopter is a knowledge partner to the Taskforce on Nature Markets - an international group shaping a new generation of nature markets that deliver nature-positive and equitable outcomes. Our support for green innovation continues at the grassroots level. We work with organisations like ConceptionX, Cultivate Accelerator, and Barclays Eagle Labs by providing entrepreneurs with workshops, training, and mentoring at the start of their business journeys.

In July 2022, Adopter received a B Corp Pending status. This also meant that we became the first company in County Durham to be listed in the B-Corp Directory. A few months later, in April 2023, we officially became a Certified B Corporation. The B-Corp certification process requires rigorous checks of all aspects of the business, from ethical governance, transparency, and customer service to our environmental and social impact. We are proud to be a part of the movement that strives to create an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

As a company, we are constantly working to ensure sustainability is at the heart of Adopter’s growth. In April 2023, Adopter became B Corp certified, becoming one of just three marketing companies that have received B Corp status in the North East. Adopter is also a signatory to Tech Zero and SME Climate Hub.
