Switzerland’s green fintech community had no shared digital platform. The Green Fintech Network set out to change that - and needed a website that could launch with the network and scale as it grew.
Applied Growth-Driven Design: launched with a focused single page, then added new modules as real needs emerged - member directory, events calendar, knowledge hub - each building on the original architecture.

The Green Fintech Network is a Swiss industry network connecting fintech companies, financial institutions, and research organisations at the intersection of fintech and environmental sustainability. Its 43 members include UBS, EY, and PostFinance alongside early-stage startups and academic institutions like IMD and the University of Zurich. GFN brings this community together through events, research, and a shared digital platform - building the partnerships that will shape Switzerland’s role in global sustainable finance.

GFN's founding team had worked with Adopter before - through earlier projects with the Green Digital Finance Alliance and EAC Coalition. When the network needed a website for its formal launch, the relationship was already in place.
A traditional approach would have meant scoping a full multi-page website upfront, before GFN knew which features its growing community would actually need. Instead, Adopter applied Growth-Driven Design: launch with only what matters now, learn from how the site is used, and expand based on evidence rather than assumptions.
The first module was a single-page site built around the signals that would matter most to prospective members, sponsors, and partners - who was already involved, who was leading it, and what the network set out to do. A deliberately lean starting point, with architecture designed to accommodate whatever came next.

GFN's membership was growing and the network needed a way to showcase each organisation individually - not just logos on a homepage. This was exactly the kind of need Growth-Driven Design is built to respond to: a clear requirement, emerging from actual use, that could be scoped and built as a discrete module on the existing platform.
Adopter built a member directory - a dedicated profile page for every member organisation, searchable and filterable by focus area, type, and location. For a network that includes UBS alongside early-stage startups, the directory needed to make each member individually discoverable to the sponsors, investors, and potential partners exploring the Swiss green fintech space.
“Matt and Jeremiasz excelled in establishing a clear understanding of the project’s purpose during the discovery phase and maintained efficient, responsive communication throughout.” - Victoria Halasi, Communications Lead, Green Fintech Network
The events calendar came next - a visible signal that this was an active community, not a static directory. Then a knowledge hub for GFN’s publications and research. Each module was scoped to what GFN needed at that moment, built onto the existing architecture, and handed over so GFN's team could manage it independently. As the network grew from around 30 to 43 members, GFN added every new profile and event themselves.
“Working with Adopter has been a smooth, efficient, and productive experience. We have consistently been pleased with the outcomes, which have always been delivered on time.” - Miles Austin, Vice President, Green Fintech Network

The site reaches visitors from more than 130 countries - Switzerland the largest share, followed by the US, UK, Germany, and Singapore, mapping closely to the global centres of sustainable finance.
The member directory is the second most-visited section of the site after the homepage, with individual member profiles drawing consistent traffic. Events pages show the same pattern - visitors browse specific events, explore the calendar, and navigate between member profiles. The site works as a discovery tool for the Swiss green fintech community.
GFN’s team manages the entire platform themselves - adding new members, publishing events, updating content as the network evolves. The network grew from around 30 to 43 member organisations during the partnership, and GFN handled every addition independently. Every module, from the launch page to the knowledge hub, still runs on the architecture Adopter laid down with the first build. As GFN's community continues to grow, the platform is ready to continue growing with it.

“Working with Adopter on the Green Fintech Network’s website expansion was a highly positive experience. Matt and Jeremiasz excelled in establishing a clear understanding of the project’s purpose during the discovery phase and maintained efficient, responsive communication throughout via emails and calls. Their expertise in defining tangible goals and refining details based on real-time feedback ensured a smooth process and high-quality delivery. Adopter’s proactive approach to testing and resolving issues as they arose was instrumental in meeting project goals. I highly recommend Adopter for their professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to delivering excellent results.”
