Low Carbon Materials

Low Carbon Materials manufactures carbon-negative aggregates for the construction industry - products that replace traditional materials in road surfacing and concrete blockwork while reducing embodied carbon. Their materials have been used in UK road projects for National Highways, Tarmac and local authorities. A Durham University spin-out, LCM was named an Earthshot Prize finalist in 2022 and has been featured by CNN, the Financial Times, and BBC World News.

We worked with LCM to identify the key marketing opportunities around the visit - advising on which guests to interview, preparing key messages, and planning the content capture.

We ran behind-the-scenes video and photo capture throughout the day - Prince William’s visit, key moments with attendees, and guest interviews. A dedicated interview area with branded backdrops captured quotes for post-event content across multiple channels.

Adopter crafted tailored press releases and PR messaging to amplify the event’s significance. We developed engaging content on social media, including behind-the-scenes footage, guest quotes, and video interviews to showcase the visit and sustain interest beyond the day.

Strategic marketing

We worked closely with the team to identify key opportunities and craft a strategic marketing plan to amplify the event. This included advising on key messages and content themes and identifying impactful stories to engage the audience.

Media capture

We planned and executed media capture to authentically document key moments of the event. This included coordinating photography and video to capture highlights such as key speeches, guest interactions and impactful moments.

Content planning

We created and managed a content plan to maintain a steady flow of high-quality content. This plan was structured in a way that enabled easy coordination and provided opportunities for feedback. As we progress, we regularly update the plan with fresh ideas to keep it engaging and relevant.

Copywriting 

Using the key messages from our communications strategy, our team crafted post captions. We ensured the tone remained balanced, informative, accessible and free from unnecessary overhype.

Graphic design and video editing

We created custom templates for social media posts and used them to create engaging visuals. We also provided support with basic social media video editing, including planning, trimming, and adding captions.
