$250K to $25M
Pre-seed to Series A
Seraphim Space is a London-based investment group focused exclusively on space technology. Founded in 2016 by Mark Boggett and James Bruegger, Seraphim launched the world's first venture capital fund dedicated to SpaceTech and has since built an integrated platform spanning early-stage venture funding, a publicly listed growth fund, and an accelerator programme. The firm invests globally in companies that use satellite data, connectivity, and space-derived infrastructure to address challenges in climate monitoring, global security, sustainability, and digital connectivity.
Seraphim now manages more than $550 million in assets under management across its private and public funds. Its portfolio includes over 145 SpaceTech companies across 33 countries, and portfolio companies have collectively raised more than $9 billion in total investment. The firm is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Mission
Seraphim's mission is to support the next generation of SpaceTech leaders building technologies that enhance security, resilience, and sustainability on a global scale. The firm backs visionary entrepreneurs using space technology to address the world's most pressing problems - from climate change and food security to defence and global connectivity.
Goals
Values
Seraphim measures all investments against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The firm emphasises long-term partnership with founders, sector-specialist expertise, and an ESG-integrated investment approach. Seraphim is a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
Seraphim was co-founded in 2016 by Mark Boggett and James Bruegger to address a gap in the venture capital landscape: there was no dedicated investment platform for space technology companies. At the time, the commercial space sector was beginning to accelerate, with falling launch costs and growing demand for satellite data, but specialist capital was scarce. Boggett and Bruegger launched the world's first SpaceTech venture fund, backed by leading space corporates including Airbus, SES, and Telespazio. The firm has since expanded to include a publicly listed growth fund (Seraphim Space Investment Trust, listed on the London Stock Exchange in July 2021) and the Seraphim Space Accelerator - the world's first and largest accelerator programme dedicated to SpaceTech, now operating across three continents. Today, Seraphim is headquartered in London with offices in the US and Germany.

Seraphim invests exclusively in SpaceTech - technologies that operate in space (such as satellites and launch systems) or that use space-based data and infrastructure to deliver insights and services on Earth. The firm focuses on companies at the intersection of space technology and terrestrial applications, particularly where satellite data, connectivity, and AI converge to create commercial value. Recent investment themes include AI applied to satellite data, dual-use defence and commercial technologies, in-orbit logistics, and edge computing in space.
Seraphim is headquartered in London, United Kingdom, with offices in the United States and Germany. The firm invests globally, with portfolio companies spanning 33 countries. Its strategic limited partners include international space agencies and corporates from across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including Airbus, SES, Teledyne, Telespazio, NEC, SKY Perfect JSAT, Eutelsat, and Arabsat.
Seraphim focuses on areas where space delivers transformational value:
Seraphim invests across all stages from seed through to growth. The firm's platform is structured to support companies at different points in their development. The Seraphim Space Accelerator works with startups typically between Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5-9, as they progress from technical validation to commercial deployment. The Seraphim Space Venture Fund II targets seed and Series A investments, with a portfolio of around 30 companies per fund. The Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT) provides growth-stage capital through a listed vehicle on the London Stock Exchange. Seraphim's first fund (2016 vintage) deployed approximately £70 million across more than 100 companies. Its second venture fund exceeded its $100 million target in February 2026. Seraphim is comfortable acting as lead investor or as a strategic co-investor.
ICEYE: A Finnish-founded company and the world's leading manufacturer and operator of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. ICEYE provides radar imaging for defence reconnaissance, disaster response, and environmental monitoring - including a deforestation monitoring solution launched in 2026. The company reported €250 million in revenue in 2025 and holds a €1.5 billion backlog. ICEYE is Seraphim's largest holding, representing 37.4% of the trust's total assets.
ALL.SPACE: A UK-based communications technology company developing multi-network terminal systems for resilient satellite connectivity on the move. ALL.SPACE has partnered with Viasat for military Ka-band connectivity and secured European Space Agency funding for GPS-denied navigation technology. It represents 10% of the trust's assets.
Satellite Vu (SatVu): A UK-based company operating mid-wave infrared satellites that detect heat signatures from individual buildings and infrastructure. SatVu's data supports energy efficiency monitoring, emissions tracking, and urban heat mapping. It represents 4.7% of the trust's assets.
Seraphim's funds are backed by a mix of strategic corporate investors, government-backed institutions, and international space agencies. Key investors include the British Business Bank (BBB), the National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Airbus, SES, Teledyne, Telespazio, SSTL MDA, Eutelsat, NEC, SKY Perfect JSAT, and Arabsat. The Seraphim Space Accelerator operates in partnership with the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency. The listed Seraphim Space Investment Trust (LSE: SSIT) launched in July 2021, raising £250 million in gross proceeds at IPO, and had a market capitalisation of approximately £315 million as of March 2026.
